Nathmal ki Haveli-built during the late 19th century, this haveli was a prime minister's house. Its identical left and right wings were carved by two brothers. There are yellow sandstone elephants at the entrance of the haveli. These intricaly carved elephants adorn the front door of the haveli.
Patwon ki Haveli- though this haveli is the most complicated one, it is considered as the most wonderful of all the Jaisalmer havelis. Located in a narrow lane in the heart of the city, this haveli has painted murals in one of its apartments. It is constructed by the famous dealers in gold, brocade and silver embroidery. They had come from Afghanistan to China. The five suites of the building dates back to the year 1800 and 1860, which is about 300 years ago from now. This Haveli is today being used as residence. Earlier, Salim Singh, a former prime minister of Jaisalmer, used to stay here.
These beautifully carved Havelis of Jaisalmer showcases the beauty and architectural splendor of the ancient Rajasthan.
