If you are wondering how to get there then please go through this page. Getting to Rajasthan is very easy as this state is well connected by air, rail and road. Most of the foreign tourists travel to Rajasthan by plane. The local tourists prefer the train and only those who are coming from the nearby cities take the bus route.

How to Get ThereGetting to Rajasthan by plane Rajasthan is a big state with a number of cities. There are airports in almost all the major cities of the Indian state of Rajasthan. The travelers coming by plane have a lot of options to choose from. The Sanganer Airport in Jaipur has both International and Domestic terminals. Located 10 Kms. from city, these airports receives flights from all International Flight Operators like Lufthansa, Air-France, Royal Jordan, Indian Airlines, British Airways, Singapore Airlines, K.L.M., Kuwait Airways, Cathay Pacific, Gulf Airways, Thai Airlines, Alitalia and East West Airlines. The domestic Flight Operators include Archana Airways, Jet Airways, UP Air, Air India, and Modiluft

Jaisalmer Airport (located 9 Kms. from Jaisalmer City Center), Maharana Pratap Airport (located 22 Kms South of Udaipur) and Jodhpur Airport (located 5 Kms. from Jodhpur City Center) has a domestic terminal which receives flights from Alliance Air & Jet Airways.

Nal (Bikaner) Airport (9 Kms. from City) and Kota Airport (10 Kms. from city) are other domestic airports in Rajasthan that accepts planes from few Private Operators

Getting to Rajasthan by train

The major cities of Rajasthan are easily accessed by trains. The central railway station or Jaipur railway station is located in the Bani Park region. Other railway stations are Dahar Ka Balaji Railway Station near Jhotwara, Durgapura Railway Station near Durgapura in south Jaipur, Bais Godam Railway Station near Civil Lines and Gandhinagar Railway Station in the Gandhi Nagar region. It is easiest to travel from Delhi and enter Rajasthan through Jaipur.

Some luxury trains that take you to this state are 'Palace on Wheels' and ‘Royal Rajasthan on Wheels’.

Getting to Rajasthan by road

The National Highway 8 runs through Rajasthan. It connects Delhi to Mumbai. You can enjoy a smooth drive and reach Rajasthan by road.
